103AT-11 Accuracy
The 103AT-11 NTC Thermistor probe has high accuracy and can be replaced without the requirement of recalibration or adjustment to the thermistor circuitry
±0.3⁰C (at 25°C)
Better than ±0.5°C accurate from 0°C to 45°C
103AT-11 Thermistor characteristics
This Thermistor probe is an NTC Thermistor meaning the resistance will decrease as the temperature increases.
This increase or decrease is exponential see The thermistor guide for further clarification.
Nominal resistance value at 25C known as the Thermistor value is 10K
Beta value is 3433K
IP67 TPE Tip
The NTC thermistor sensor is protected by a TPE encapsulant , This provides the IP67 protection.
TPE stands for ThermoPlastic Elastomer.
TPE has a rubbery texture but is a plastic. This cost effective protection is practical and durable for most applications however the TPE material has the disadvantage of having a low chemical compatibility compared to a stainless steel probe.
For a comparative guide on trade offs for different temperature probe types please view the Thermistor probes Guide
Although the chemical compatibility is low compared to stainless steel, due to its low thermal mass the encapsulated thermistor can respond to temperature changes faster than most stainless steel temperature probes.
The TPE protection is enough for the majority of applications where a Thermistor is required rough and moist environments.
Dimensions of the TPE Tip for the 103AT-11 is only 5 x 6 x 15mm, making it ideal for detecting changes in temperature.
IP67 TPE Flexible Cable
like the TPE material used to protect the thermistor element the cable is also made from TPE.
It is flexible , durable and is supplied with stripped ends ideal for soldering into the thermistor PCB or attached to a PCB connector.
