The Ratiometric level sensor uses a voltage signal to represent the level .
This voltage signal is proportional to the supply voltage, therefore the output is a percentage of the supply voltage.
This type of level sensor is ideal for Raspberry Pi , Arduino and Embedded systems.
View the Ratiometric pressure sensor Article post for examples and further information on Ratiometric output.
Therefore integration is simplified by avoiding complex analogue circuitry.
Ratiometric Level sensor Output Example
for example a Ratiometric pressure sensor with a range of 0-10Bar and the supply
Ratiometric output if supply voltage is 5V
0Bar = 0.5V = 10%
10Bar=4.5V =90%
Ratiometric output if Supply voltage is 3V
0 Bar = 0.3V = 10%
10Bar = 2.7V=90%
Level Range
- 0-30mWG
Ratiometric Level transducer overview
- 3.3-5Vdc.
- Low power consumption.
- 3 wires required VDD +, VSS - ,Signal
- Zero = 10% of Supply voltage
- Full output = 90% of Supply Voltage
- Arduino compatible
- USB serial adaptor
OSL Ratiometic Level sensor Specifications
- Level ranges from 0 to 30mWG
- Ceramic sensor for corrosive resistance
- Gauge or Absolute or Sealed Gauge
- Accuracy choice from ±0.25 any higher please contact
- Media Temperature -40 °C to +125 °C
